Follow up on the remainder of the Grammys:
1. CBS ~ If you're going to delay the live broadcast by 5 minutes to take out any cleavage slippage or profanity, then take advantage of that time to correct all of your broadcasting mistakes.
2. I've just read that Justin Timberlake was forced into that repeated apology as part of an agreement to allow his appearance on the show last night. Nice move, CBS....continue the hype that you claim you regret.
3. I don't get The White Stripes. It's not my kind of music, but is it anyone's?
4. I'm fairly sure that each and every performance was live...not a lip-sync that I can recall. Now, THAT is a music awards show !!
5. Best New Artist - Um, 50 Cent, it's not you this year. Please return to your seat. I'm not sure if it was your ego or level of sobriety that made you think they called your name. However, given the Best New Artist curse, you're probably better off.
6. Martina McBride....awww, I was there at your very first performance back when you opened for Garth Brooks' tour. You're still one of my favorites.
7. I didn't get the Warren Zevon "performance" at the end of the tribute to those we've lost in the industry over the past year. The track of Warren singing was played with a photo montage, with his kids, Jackson Browne, EmmyLou Harris, Billy Bob Thorton, et al crooning along during the chorus. I found this odd, quite odd. Then again, Warren was an odd bird himself, so I suppose it fits.
Lastly, Quentin Tarentino...you're awfully white to be speaking with that urban affect.
