Springing into Flooring
I need to replace the carpeting in my den/office. Mainly because it's old...but also because Cookie has taken to "spraying" in one corner when he's upset with me, so regardless of cleaning, it smells less than rosy in this room. My fear is that replacing it with new carpeting would merely perpetuate the situation. I'm thinking of either laminate flooring or 12x12 tiles would avoid seepage of spray. I'm also thinking of installing the flooring myself. Has anyone had experience with laying these flooring options down over concrete slab? Is this an adventure that I should even be considering...or should I bite the bullet and pay nearly $1000 for the installation? Normally, I'm not a do-it-yourself kind of gal - but the room is only approx. 200 sq feet...and I can't justify paying $5/tile for installation on something that many other people have done themselves. A little help here would be greatly appreciated !!
