Twilight Zone - Part Deux
I was able to find the news story covering the drama. Click on that link and select the video called "People calling into radio talk show after seeing something in the sky" about 3/4 of the way down the section.
The latest update during the Friday drive-time talk show was that there were Army vehicles all over the town around the Perry nuclear power plant on Thursday afternoon. Some roads were closed by these vehicles, with officials not even allowing residents to pass down the roads for nearly 5 hours. There was also a caller on the radio show who claimed that at least 15 military jets scrambled into the air early Wednesday morning...however, he said he lived right by the base in MI...but he called it "SOUTHRIDGE" rather than "SELFRIDGE"...and stated it was on the north end of Lake St. Clair, when it's really on the south end.
The skies over Cleveland have been cloudy over the last two days, so if there are the unusual contrails up there, we just can't see them. Considering the beautiful weather lately, I've slept with my windows open all week. Very early Friday (3:30am~ish), I heard a noise that I can honestly say I've never heard before....but it was coming from the sky, definitely not on land. Did I get out of bed to check it out.....HELL no !!
Note: There have been media reports lately regarding the safety of the power plants in our area, not from attack, but simply from them being active. Sandusky's Davis Besse had an incident last year that ranked just below Three Mile Island. Perhaps the Armed Forces are practicing emergency procedures in case of a meltdown??
