The shopping adventure this morning was both harrowing and successful. I finished up my gifts for my friends by purchasing bar accessories for my closest married couple. They're getting a stainless steel bar accessories set, a set of 4 martini glasses and another set containing a margarita pitcher and 4 glasses. They just bought their dream home, which they'll move into in February. Not only that, but the box sizes bode well for a tower-like presentation for wrapping.

The harrowing aspect of the morning entered when the lake-effect snow kicked in. I entered the store at 11:03, amidst a light flurry. When I exited at 11:23, four inches of snow had accumulated. A 10 minute drive home took me more than 45 minutes. It's let up for now (after another 2 inches fell), but they're predicting more snow throughout the weekend. Weeeeee !!!

My last shopping adventure for the day will be to drop by Outback Steakhouse to pick up a gift certificate for my hairdresser. Which makes me wonder....if she owns the shop, shouldn't she toss in a free color for me once a year??? We'll see if that pans out tomorrow morning, when I'm off to gossip about the latest Mentor breakup (Andrew and Jen) while I'm getting primped. I'll let you know if I pick up any of the gory details.
