No Jive - I've got Hives...
I fear that this blog is turning into a forum to discuss my health ailments.  After this week, that's it.  I promise to be more creative in the future.
 
I ate something yesterday that didn't like me.  Now, I know I'm allergic to nuts.  With nuts, my tongue begins to swell and itch.  It's instantly apparent that I'm eating something to which I'm allergic.  However, yesterday....Stouffer's Roasted Chicken Ravioli was not my friend.  Within 30 minutes of eating it, I began to itch.  My inner ears itched....between my fingers itched....the palms of my hands itched (which I immediately threw into my pockets, hoping this means I'll win the $37 million Mega Millions tomorrow).
 
Realizing that I was having an allergic reaction, I downed two Benadryl caplets which worked within 15 minutes.  I didn't think twice this morning when I awoke, since not an itch was to be had on my body.  However, as the clock struck 11am....the hives reappeared.  I had them up both arms, on my scalp, all over my face, etc.  The doctor's answer - "It's hard to tell what causes the hives".  She explained that I may have this reaction for the next 72 hours.  She gave me prescription strength allergy medication that trumps Benadryl because there's no drowsiness. 
 
I'll survive...but for the next few days....you can call me "Scratchy"...or is it "Itchy"???
