And so it begins...
Just days after losing/dismissing (you pick the right term) the second of their three quarterbacks, the Browns signed a new quarterback. Of course, I immediately googled him to see who the hell he is. Per his stats on NFL.com, this is what we get:
- an 11-year veteran (another old man)
- his lifetime attempts/completions? 2620/1447, which translates to 55.2% success.
- yards per completion? 17031/1447....11.7 yards - not bad.
- number of career TDs? 95
- number of career interceptions? 105
- total rating? 70.6
- 9-year veteran (becoming an old man)
- his lifetime attempts/completions? 580/368, which translates to 63.4% success.
- yards per completion? 3892/368....10.5 yards.
- number of career TDs? 27
- number of career interceptions? 29
total rating? 77.6
So, I raise my coffee mug to Trent Dilfer, whoever the hell he may be. Welcome to Cleveland, the home of the Dawg Pound. We're hungry for a decent season...I recommend you are as well.
