103.1
No, it's not my favorite radio station. Nor is it not my body temperature....it is also definitely not the temperature outside. Thanks to the 2.5 inches that fell last night, 103.1 is now the total inches of snow that has fallen this season in Cleveland. Splitting hairs, the total in my town is about 20 inches greater since we live in "the snow belt". 103.1 inches is now the record snowfall for one season in the city of Cleveland...the most in the 135 years they've been keeping records. It was 70 degrees on Wednesday, by the way. If you ever feel the need to experience all seasons in just one week, move to Cleveland.
Just another milestone during this past week...
I turned 38 on Thursday. I only admit to 24. If that bitch, Catherine Zeta-Jones, can shave off 14 years and pull it off, so can I, dammit.
The Schindler family said goodbye to their daughter and sister, Terri Schiavo. If nothing else, their family struggle caused the media to inform us ad naseum about "right to life", "right to die", "living wills", and "medical directives".
The world lost the Pope, John Paul II...while I didn't always agree with his choices and beliefs, he was a great man and a tremendous leader of the Catholic church over the last 26 years. I find a bit of irony in the Pope's choice to die at home, without seeking the medical aid that would have prolonged his life. He understood the quality of his life has fallen below his personal tolerance and that further medical means would only prolong the inevitable. Did you hear that, Mel? I'm proud that both my parents decided when it was time to give up their struggle for life, and chose to die with dignity.
