A few thoughts on Friendship Day...
First of all, I'd like to pay tribute to all my friends (including you 'net ones) for their neverending support. I've been blessed to have crossed paths with such wonderful people throughout my life. I hope that I've been as good of a friend to you all. Happy Friendship Day !!

Okay, now I have to admit that I'm a little nervous about the news....
1. Direct terror threats against New York City and Washington DC, including specific targets within the financial institutions, including the NY Stock Exchange.
2. Numerous Christian churches were bombed during multiple attacks in Iraq.
3. The "computer systems" which monitor and control American Airlines and US Airways was down for about 2 hours early today.
4. My brother called to cancel dinner plans tonight because he was being held over on the afternoon shift. When I asked why....he hesitated and then said they were just upping the coverage for the afternoon shift. Seems odd, on a Sunday in a tiny little town in the Midwest....note: there's a nuclear power plant in that city.

Here's hoping all of this is coincidence...and we're all safe and sound for many, many years to come.
