My brother has been having some medical issues lately. His recent bloodwork showed that his liver may have some damage. After a few preliminary tests, they've not found anything definitive. Hopefully, the abnormal numbers for his liver enzymes are simply from his years of drinking (gotta love those cops), since the liver can regenerate itself. If nothing else comes from this, he's committed to not drinking a drop for the next 6 months so his liver can return to normal. So far, he's 45 days sober. Tomorrow morning, I'm taking him in for his colonoscopy. Since our mother died in '89 from colon cancer that had moved to her liver, we're both a bit nervous about the outcome. Please keep him in your thoughts.
