Movie weekend from Hell...

I want my 3.75 hours back....yes, these were so bad that each was watched via fast-forward during a good portion.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Oh hell, it was just bad. I never cared to see this movie prior to the Oscars, but thought it couldn't be THAT bad if Kate Winslet received a nomination for her performance. Heh, it was worse than THAT bad. I vow to myself once again to never, never be sucked into watching another Jim Carrey movie unless it contains fart jokes and impersonations.

40 Days and 40 Nights
Being Lent, I thought I'd pick a theme movie. UGH. Although I do believe this was Josh Harnett's last movie before he morphed into the scrawny Ethan-Hawke-wannabe. Here's a line from the movie's synopsis.....classic. "Hartnett's a natural in the role (he attended a parochial high school in Minnesota)."

The Grudge
Perhaps if I hadn't seen the same "monster" in the much more suspenseful "The Ring" last year....but no, Sarah Michelle Gellar (that's GELL-LARR, not GELL-ER) proved she's not much more than Buffy. The best aspect of this movie - you can catch the complete storyline while using the >> fast-forward level. (> is too slow, and >>> is too fast)

and now, in an effort to salvage this weekend...I'm off to watch Halloween: H2O and Jeepers Creepers 2.
