Welcome Back, Old Friend
Ahhh, I love me some Lost. It's been a long summer without it since the season finale...a summer during which Hurley lost a good 50 pounds and Sun's hair grew 3 inches all in the matter of 20 minutes that has passed since the raft exploded. Personally, I'd have rather hung out on the island than torture myself with BB6. Annnnywhoooo...Here are some of my observations from last night's season premiere (don't look further if you haven't watched it yet):
~Damn you, Cass Elliott, I couldn't get that frickin "Make Your Own Kind of Music" out of my head all night. But c'mon, admit it, you actually pressed GUIDE on your remote to ensure you were on ABC and watching Lost, not American Psycho.
~The Wig o' Flashback Jack scared me very, very much, but not nearly as much as the vision of Walt to Shannon. You know that Walt and Shannon share some psychicic ability - which could explain why he left Vincent with her. Speaking of Vincent - that dog just didn't look right...was he all wet/bloody like Walt or did TPTB recast the damn dog over the summer?
~Desmond - take away the D's and the remaining letters can spell demons. Did anyone else get the vibe that inadvertently Jack made a deal with the devil for Sarah's spine when he "ran" into Desmond while running the Stade? And Hurley won the lottery...hmmm, I wonder if his business card says "Miracles 4U, by Desmond" and he delivers dreams and miracles. "See you in another life" is what clicked for me as to who it was down in that hatch.
~Desmond typing...EXECUTE (kick off the job, computer-wise) or EXECUTE (kill someone, as in a message or communication to someone)? Wonder who Jack would have killed if Locke hadn't stopped him.
~Quarantine....hmm, even more interesting that the sign was on the under-side of the hatch door...which leads me to believe that inside of the hatch is the safe side.
~Continuing w/ speculation...is that Shannon's dad involved in Sarah's car accident? (Mr. Rutherford - "time of death 8:15")?
~It pains me to ponder how many viewers muttered to themselves "what's that contraption" when Desmond turned on the record player - or the DOS-based computer???
